Rhonda the Wonder Dog!
A benefit was held at the Dubliner Tavern in Fremont to help pay the vet bills of Rhonda, David DiStefano’s (a regular at The Dubliner) blue heeler.

“Fifty percent of the people I meet like me; 100 percent like my dog,” said Dave DiStefano, who has owned Rhonda since she was 2. They both have strong ties to Fremont. When DiStefano goes to the Dubliner, he ties Rhonda up outside, and all the regulars know her.

DiStefano said Rhonda chewed up some bones that tore a hole in her esophagus. She required multiple surgeries, and the medical costs soared, but Veterinary Specialty Center in Lynnwood has agreed to cap the expenses at $15,000.

Above is a group shot of a bunch of The Dubliner’s regulars with Ronda, on her 2nd year anniversary after the surgery! In front of The Dubliner in Fremont.

Long live Rhonda the beloved WONDER DOG!
